Ondo state governor oluwarotimi akeredolu sack aides attached to his deputy lucky Ayedatiwa.
The governor’s decision was as a result of the cold war going on between him and his deputy.
The chief press secretary to the governor Richard olatunde said the affected aides were directed to submit all government properties in their possession to the acting permanent secretary.
The aides who were affected were The press secretary to the deputy governor Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, Special Assistant to the Governor (Photography), Abayomi Adefolalu and Special Assistant to the deputy Governor (New Media), Oladipupo Okunniga.
The statement goes thus ”
“Similarly, the press crew attached to the office of the deputy governor has been disbanded. Consequently, all members of the press crew are to report back to their various ministries and stations.
“Equally, the Ministry of Information and Orientation is directed to provide adequate coverage for the activities of the deputy governor’s office henceforth.”
A source who spoke to our reporter said the sack of the deputy governor’s media was as a result of a news report that the deputy governor’s aides caused some crisis when akeredolu was on a medical leave to germany.
