A student of The Federal Polytechnic Offa, Eluwa Daniel Tobechukwu has received the Federal Government Scholarship Awards to study Higher National Diploma (HND) in Building Technology at the Polytechnic.
The Award letter was presented to him by the representative of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs. Fatimah Ibrahim at the Polytechnic Main Campus on Wednesday 25th October, 2023.
His award letter which was signed by the Director, Federal Scholarship Board reads in part: “with reference to your recent application for above Award, I have the pleasure to inform you that you have been given an Award by the Federal Government of Nigeria to enable you study Building Technology leading to Higher National Diploma Qualification at the Federal Polytechnic Offa.”
Mrs. Ibrahim said the Scholarship which covers the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (200,000) per session is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to encourage Nigeria students to take education seriously.
Responding, the Awardee, Eluwa Daniel Tobechukwu who is currently an HND I student of the Polytechnic expresses his heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Government for the honour and opportunity to be a beneficiary.
Daniel noted that the scholarship is a financial relief and a significant source of motivation and encouragement to him. In his words, “…receiving this scholarship is not only a tremendous financial relief, but also serves as a significant source of motivation and encouragement for me to continue my education with diligence and enthusiasm. Your generosity has lightened the burden of expenses and allows me focus on my studies and extracurricular activities. This scholarship has instilled in me a sense of responsibility and a desire to give back to the community in the future.”
Speaking further, he appreciates the Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa for the provision of a conducive environment which has enhanced academic excellence among students of the Polytechnic.
The Rector, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin FNSE appreciates the Federal Government for approving the scholarship and many other students accros tertiary institutions in the country thereby bringing back the good old days of free education in Nigeria.
He congratulates the awardee and admonishes him to focus on his studies while wishing him well in his academic endeavours.
