The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu has endorsed a strategic blueprint for the political liberation and emancipation of the South-East to the ruling party.
Ganduje made this revelation during a courtesy visit by Anambra APC stakeholders to the national secretariat of the party in Abuja. He emphasized the importance of the South-Eastern region actively participating in negotiations for the political leadership of the country.
Ganduje stated: “I will like to let you know that Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved our blueprint for political liberation of the South-east to the APC.
“He has approved the political emancipation; he has approved the political de-marginalisation of the South-east. Be with one voice because if you speak with one voice, your voice will be bigger, wider…for the negotiation for the political leadership of this country.
“There is no unity and you need unity in diversity. We need you to be united and deliberately, the party in Anambra State needs a change, revolution of the South-East.”
On his part the state party chairman Hon Basil Ejidike emphasized the significance of Anambra State as a crucial socio-political and economic hub in the southeast. He expressed the party’s determination not to take lightly the upcoming opportunity to contend for the government house in Awka.
Ejidike highlighted that the party’s recent stakeholders meeting welcomed key political figures, including Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the Youth Democratic Party (YPP), Sen Uche Ekwunife, and Hon John Nwokeji. These collaborations aim to strengthen the party’s position and broaden its appeal in the state.
Furthermore, the Anambra APC has established a Strategic Membership Drive Committee to reach out to influential individuals, harness grassroots support, and enhance the party’s overall fortunes.
